A PROVEN WAY TO RESET YOUR CONFIDENCE
Stop feeling like you're starting from zero
A practical live workshop for capable people whose confidence sometimes take a knock - and who want a faster way back.
You may know you’re capable.
You may have handled difficult things, made progress, achieved more than you give yourself credit for, and built evidence that you can cope.
But when confidence drops, it can still feel as if you’re right back at the bottom again.
Not because you’ve lost your ability, or because you’ve become less capable.
But because self-doubt can make you lose sight of what you already know about yourself.
This 75-minute live workshop will help you recalibrate your confidence, recognise where it more accurately belongs, and create a practical way to climb back faster when self-doubt hits.

This is for those times when one wobble makes you question everything
You might recognise this if your confidence drops:
-
after rejection
-
after criticism or difficult feedback
-
when you compare yourself to others
-
before putting yourself forward
-
when applying for something
-
when returning to visibility
-
when starting something new
-
when progress feels slow or invisible
-
before a difficult conversation
-
when you feel like an imposter
The issue is not that you have no confidence - it's that when confidence drops, it can take too much of you with it.
This workshop is about learning how to recover faster.
Why confidence can feel like it disappears
Most people assume confidence drops because they are not good enough, but usually that's not what is happening.
What actually happens is more subtle:
-
you forget what you have already handled
-
you write off what you have achieved
-
you minimise your strengths
-
you stop counting the evidence
-
one difficult moment starts to feel like the whole truth
So even if you’ve built capability over time, self-doubt can make it feel as if you’re starting from zero again.
This workshop helps interrupt that pattern.

What we'll do in the workshop
This is a practical, participative session.
You’ll be guided through a simple process to help you move from:
“I feel like I’m back at zero.” to: “Actually, I can see where my confidence more truthfully belongs.”
In the session, you will:
1. Take a confidence snapshot
We'll score where your confidence feels right now on a 0–10 scale.
This is not a test. It is just a snapshot.
2. Remember what you’ve stopped counting
We’ll use guided prompts to recall moments where you have handled, achieved, contributed, coped, learned, or shown strengths you may have dismissed.
3. Have your strengths reflected back
You’ll reflect, so you can hear what your evidence shows more clearly.
4. Recalibrate your confidence
After the exercise, you’ll re-score your confidence based on what you have remembered and heard reflected back. This is where people often realise they are not as close to zero as they felt.
5. Write your Climb-Back Line
You’ll finish by writing one sentence you can use the next time self-doubt tries to send you back to zero.
What you'll leave with
By the end of the workshop, you will have:
-
a clearer understanding of why confidence can drop even when your capability has not
-
a personal confidence score from the start of the session
-
a recalibrated score based on evidence, not just mood
-
a clearer view of what you have been forgetting or dismissing
-
a simple way to recover faster when confidence drops
-
your own Climb-Back Line to use when self-doubt hits again
This is not about pretending to be confident.
It is about finding a more accurate place to stand.
This workshop is for you if ...
-
you are capable, but your confidence sometimes takes a knock
-
you can go from steady to doubtful surprisingly quickly
-
you sometimes feel like an imposter
-
you dismiss your own progress or achievements
-
you compare yourself to others and lose perspective
-
you are about to put yourself forward
-
you are navigating change, transition, or uncertainty
-
you want something practical, not fluffy
-
you are tired of confidence wobbles turning into full resets
You do not need to be at rock bottom - you just need to recognise the pattern.

What this is not
This is not about:
-
fake confidence
-
forced positivity
-
pretending self-doubt does not exist
-
bragging
-
motivational hype
-
eliminating doubt forever
This is about confidence recovery.
The aim is not to never wobble again.
The aim is to stop every wobble sending you back to zero.
About Me
I’m Cathryn O'Donnelly, an executive career and leadership coach.
For years, I’ve seen the same pattern in capable people: their confidence does not disappear because their ability has vanished. It drops because they lose access to the evidence of what they already know, have done, and can handle.
I’ve used this concept successfully in my coaching work and workshops for many years, and I’ve seen how quickly people can shift when they stop relying only on mood and start seeing the evidence more clearly.
My approach is practical, grounded, and evidence-based.
No hype.
No false confidence.
No generic self-help.
Just a clearer way back to yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this only for people with very low confidence?
No.
This is for capable people whose confidence sometimes takes a knock.
You do not need to be at rock bottom. In fact, many people who benefit from this are functioning well on the outside but know they can lose confidence quickly when something knocks them.
Is this therapy?
No.
This is a practical confidence workshop. It focuses on self-perception, evidence, and confidence recovery. It is not therapy and does not replace therapeutic support.
I know what I’ve achieved. I just don’t feel it. Is this still useful?
Yes, and that is exactly the point.
This is not just about listing achievements. It is about helping the evidence land, so your confidence can recalibrate more accurately.
Will this make me permanently confident?
No — and that is not the promise. Everyone’s confidence wobbles.
The aim is to help you recover faster, rather than letting every wobble become a full reset.
Will there be a replay?
No, live attendance is mandatory because the value comes from the guided exercises and optional reflection

If this topic feels relevant, but you know a group workshop is not the right setting for you, there is also the option to work with me privately.
In a 1:1 Confidence Recalibration session, we can apply the same process to your specific situation — whether that is a confidence knock, career transition, visibility, imposter feelings, returning to work, applying for something, or putting yourself forward.
This is a more personal, focused space where we can identify what has knocked your confidence, uncover the evidence you may have stopped counting, and create a practical way for you to climb back faster when self-doubt shows up.
If you would prefer to explore this privately, please contact me about a 1:1 session.
